An attempt to imitate Sorcerer Magazine~

And now for something symbolic; Mirajane's light-colored dress was supposed to signify her angel-like visage, whereas Erza's, her fierce disposition. Then, the opposite shades of the giant ribbons were supposed to signify that underneath Mirajane's kind personality is a dangerous demon lying within and underneath Erza's fearless nature is actually a kind-hearted and a considerate individual.
(tl;dr. This is just me trying to make sense of what I drew haha.)

Also, the outfits worn by them (along with the pose) were inspired from a real-life photo of a friend and me. _{So maybe if you recall seeing a photograph similar to this, perhaps we're actually friends on facebook. Haha.}
